Saeqeh vs Western fighters

Hey, I just wanted to ask how well does the Saeqeh fighter stack up to enemy fighters such as the F-16, F-18 and F-22?

Radar, AA missile and pilot is what really determine who the winner will be. Oh and tactics, electronic warfare (which iran is very good at).

Alright well it seems that our bride could hold her own, this brings me to my next question, how many Saeqeh's do we currently have?

with Iran you never know what it really holds .... it brought down stealth aircraft recently while so called analysts were estimating that iran would be invaded in a week .... so we dont know how well saeqeh performs ....

IMO , iran has not shown the real Saeqeh as of yet ...

15-20? well I guess they could have 40 in the works but still, The Iranian air force is in a serious need of an overhaul I know that it's better to by self dependent but we should really consider buying advance generation 5 fighters. If we were to make generation 5 fighters it would take alot time and most of our air force is already outdated.

yes 15-20 or may be 20 -25 at max ... but not beyond that in any case ...I dont think Iran will make Saeqeh in large quantities esp when a new fighter project has already been announced ...

I dont understand this complex Iranians have when it comes to the aircraft of iranian air force ... if you compare IRIAF with regional air forces then its still fine .... yes it is legging behind as new aircraft r not being bought .. but still it can hold on strongly against any regional air force ...

having said that i must mention that I think Iran should buy at least 100 Su-30s or J-13s along with more Mig-29s  ... because in next 6-8 years F-5s and F-4s will reach their end ... Tomcats too ...

I agree with most of your points.

Regarding regional air forces, Iran shouldn't compare itself to regional powers if it wants to become a military superpower. However if you want to talk about regional air forces lets talk about Israel.

I think that if our airforce upgrades and overshadows Isreal's airforce, Isreal will have nothing left to threaten us with, infact if this were the case the Isreal vs Iran war question would be nothing more than a joke.

Israel cant strike Iran with air force ... logically they will have to fly over Syria ,  Iraq , Turkey , Jordan , KSA ... Syria and Iraq are impossible while turkey and KSA wont just make iran their enemy by allowing Israelis to fly over them ...  40 % chance at max can exist for KSA to pretend blind but still Israeli air attack on Iran is just a myth ... even if they somehow manage to reach iranian airspace then do u think Iran that can Hijack a 6th generation stealth aircraft down to ground wont  be able   to bring down some 30 year old metallic F-16s and F-15s ? ... logically speaking israeli air raid would result in lets say If 3 squadrons attack then atleast 16-20 aircrafts of theirs will be lost then the country that they will be flying over will severe ties with them in order to keep things balanced with Iran ... last but not least Iranian govt. will get a free pass to give a green signal to Hamas and Hezbollah for rockets and missile attacks on israel , Assad is syira will become stronger so will iranian influence in Lebanon ...  ... This is all just myth that israel can come and attack iran anytime ...


by regional air forces i meant , Turkish , Pakistani , Emirati etc ...

Explain what you mean by 'advanced'? What AA missiles does F18 use? Radar does it use? etc

Is F18 as advanced as RQ-170?

I honestly think that radar, AA missiles, electronic warfare, ground AD support, tactics and pilot is what will make the difference.
