I have been to this museum its near hotel ferdousi. Definitely recommend it; you really get the feeling of how it used to be, you also get some extra information as the guide operator use to be a prisoner there himself.
 Before you go though, make sure you eat lunch at the traditional restaurant in hotel ferdousi.
