A man thought to be an Iranian was seriously wounded in Bangkok on Tuesday when a bomb he was carrying exploded and blew both his legs off, police and a government spokeswoman said.

Shortly before, there had been an explosion in a house the man was renting in the Ekamai area of central Bangkok, government spokeswoman Thitima Chaisaeng told reporters. (Reuters)

The Bangkok Post reports:

A bomb exploded in front of a school on Sukhumvit road on Tuesday afternoon, wounding a foreigner and damaging a telephone booth.

Klongton Police said the explosion took place around 2pm outside Kasempithaya School. The injured foreigner lost both of his legs in the blast.

Witnesses told investigators that an unidentified man hurled a bomb into a phone booth and then fled.

Police were investigating and had temporarily closed down Klong Ton and Phra Khanong intersections.

The Nation says:

Three foreigners were injured in an explosion on Soi Sukhumvit 71 Tuesday afternoon.

The explosion occurred at 2 pm in front of the Kasem Pitthaya School.

One of the foreigners lost his legs.

It was not long time ago they arrested a swedish Hizbollah member in Thailand with lots of passport and if I not wrong explosive to. And just before that one other Hizbollah member was arrested in Thailand..

There was only one Lebanese-Swedish arrested. They claim he had material used in explosives.. they also claim that another guy fled... and now this...

The guy of today had an Iranian identity card (which may say nothing about him)

It seems for me that there is something going on there ... We know that Thailand has been an operating point for Hezbollah intelligence in the past. They were able to abduct (or free) an Israeli collaborator from there in past ... many Lebanese go there for business ... there is a potential there for such things to happen..

Basically both sides need such a far weak state to operate

I too hope and think they will fail this campaign. Unfortunately the public image outside of Asia/Latin-Am/Africa of Iran is already bad because of same kind of campaigns from Zionists and their allies for a long time. This only adds up to that. No , we have a tendency to go after brown people not our own countrymen. Besides this brings nothing to the table, Iran and Israel been at it for a while now and public opinion is pretty stable.There's a lot of things Israel could do to help win support of the masses, like a reasonable peace treaty with the palestinians, they could also stop threatening Iran and play the victim card against the mad mullahs who are hell bent on destroying Israel. Iran has nothing to gain from this and strives to continue the development of its nuclear program without delay. It is in its interest not to start any wars at the moment. Israel, on the other hand, would have everything to gain by starting a war with Iran and set the country's nuclear program back a couple of decades.

Historically, both Israel and the USA have started wars through similar false flag events and they have gladly deceived and sacrificed their young for strategic gains.

I don’t know if the posts like Nightstrikes are out of desperation, anger or ignorance but I know one thing for certainty, a country that can pull operations where they capture and bring Rigi back to Iran with such precision and planning could not screw up so amateurish like they did in India and Georgia.
