As you say yourself Yahya jan, Iran shouldn’t be a totalitarian state. A difference in opinion doesn’t make Pasdar or anyone else for that matter a traitor. In turbulent times like this, when our enemies are circling above us like vultures, some civility and show of unity between Iranians of different camps would be vise.

Mr. yahya
You are out of line on this one. You don't know Pasdar and who he is and how he lives.
You have no right to insult anyone like this. He is a marrid man with family and you call him these names and digusting attributes.
Your examples are obvious who they are pointed to.
There are times like these where the resolve of a Nation is shown clearly to the world. Oh this great Nation of Iran together with its proud citizens showed the world that when the Silent Majority gets rattled the world better pay attention:

izirbat jan you have stoped being iranian!
to follow these co de ta chis you is go wrong way!

I am what I am.
I was an Iranian when I went to front lines, I was an Iranian when they send me to Lebanon supplying Hizballah, I was an Iranian when face down eating dirt for days in the “Sangar”.
No one questioned my loyalty when it was time for me to give to my country.
Even my worst enemy (Iraqi Soldiers) I would refuse to kill unless I had no option but to do. I didn’t run over their head with a tank because I could (remember your stories).
Now I refuse to get in to this illogical frenzy of starting a civil war with my own fellow countrymen.
What amazes me though how you could go from one extreme to the other? You are old enough to be my older brother yet just 3 month ago you would swear IRI was the greatest democracy and freedom in the world and now you call it a Hitler, Saddam fascist state?
You would have to excuse me for not following your example that changes like the wind monthly.

Taliban almost went to war with Iran in late 1990's. They cannot be trusted, or supported by us!!

Taliban, Jondollah, al-Qaeda, all have similar views. Jondollahs is basically al-Qaeda and Taliban's front in Iran. They are sick human beings, and hate Shies and Iranians. Al-Qaeda 2nd leader once said that he would prefer a Jew or Christian to a Shia!! He also made bad remarks against "Persians" when he compared the to Arabs. There is no way I will support the taliban or al-qaeda or jundollah terrorist scums. I hope they all die and go to hell where they deserve to be.

who says anything about supporting them, at the moment, they're doing a good job weakening our enemy.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. We helped America weaken the Taliban, and now they are weakened to the point that they pose no threat to us, there is no reason why we should destroy them. Now they are our "friends", in 2001 America was our "friend".

I say we let them weaken and destroy each other.

Taliban is an enemy! Taliban through Jondollah has caused so much problems for Iran, they are sick and backwards!! They are far away from being our "friends". Also there is no way Taliban will "desotry" Nato or America, so it is only a dream to think Taliban has that capability. Taliban can only stall them in Afghanistan. And they are not being weakened any more, actually, they are gaining power right now! The more power they have, the more corrupt Afghanistan will be, the more terrorist attacks will happen in Iran through Jondollah, and the more this facist type of Sunni, anti-Shia extremism spreads!!

We don't have to have them as friends, we just have to let them be. They are draining resources of America and the UK. The longer they are there the weaker they'll be. They will not start another war as long as they're in Afghanistan and Iraq.Jundollah is another thing, we have to destroy Jundollah.

pardon me brother tehrani.....but is that Shah's photo in your avatar?
A 17 episode documentary by Al Manar titled 'If Hizbollah Was Defeated...'

This doc takes are very academic and scientific approach to Hizbollah's military tactics, strategy, school of thought etc.

They killed a lot of people loyal to the shah. I believe if they hadn't killed them and at least put them in exile, they would have all returned and the Imposed war would have been won or shorter.

Im not so sure about that, but at least i would like more explaining for why they were killed... Now Wiki isnt exactly known to be the most informative site for every subject but still.

Why are you not sure, they were experienced.

Anyway, after the revolution, they killed anyone that was loyal to the Shah before the revolution.

They killed a lot of good people as well. A lot of patriotic and nationalistic people.

Im not sure because sometimes even tho people are really experienced and patriotic they might be loyal to certain forces, and of course in this example the certain force was probably Shah. And that would only do it harder for post-Revolution Iran if there was no unity between forces. He might be of those who would never recognize the new regime, and would perhaps be able and wanting to organize or take up arms for a struggle.

On the other hand, he might also have been ok with the change. But some people are out for vengence and someone had to pay for the actions made while Shah in power. In their opinion, who better than those who worked for him so closely? Especially Iranians are like this, like now after the post-election riots i hear some Iranians say "Tick tack tick tak... Khamenei your time is soon out. We will hang you like a dog!" and so on... Not too atypical Iranian mentality.

I don't think the idea behind executing certain individuals was one of loyalty, but with getting leading figures punished for the crimes that were committed.

Do you think that after the revolution they had a proper courts system? This guy that we are talking about committed no crime apart from being patriotic. He could have escaped to paris or America but he didn't.

But you know how Iranians are, even those who want to remove the IR would join the army to fight if there was an Invasion.
