Sean stone son of Oliver Stone, American director, converted to Islam today in Iran. He choosed name of Ali for himself.

به گزارش خبرنگار رادیو و تلویزیون فارس، «شان استون» پسر الیور استون فیلمساز بزرگ آمریکایی ظهر امروز -۲۵ بهمن ماه- با حضور در دفتر آیت الله ناصری واقع در اصفهان به دین اسلام مشرف شد و نام پیشوای اول شیعیان امیرالمومنین علی (ع) را برای خود برگزید.

بنا بر این گزارش، شان استون که خود نیز در زمینه فیلمسازی فعالیت می‌کند، مدتی پیش برای حضور در همایشی با موضوع بررسی فیلم‌های هالیوودی به ایران آمد و طی حضورش در ایران با فرج الله سلحشور نیز دیدار کرد.

استون به منظور تشرف به دین اسلام چند روزی است که در اصفهان به سر می‌برد. او لحظاتی پیش با قرائت شهادتین به دین اسلام و مذهب شیعه روی آورد.

بنا بر این گزارش، «علی استون» که پیش از این نیز گردن بندی با تصویر شمشیر ذوالفقار حضرت علی(ع) بر گردن می‌آویخت، راجع به این کارش در گفت‌وگو با خبرنگار رادیو و تلویزیون فارس گفت: دوستی لبنانی دارم که مسلمان است و به حضرت علی(ع) علاقه بسیاری دارد. او معتقد است اگر همواره نشانه‌ای از این بزرگوار با خود داشته باشی از گزند دشمنانت محفوظ خواهی بود و من هم به همین منظور این گردن بند را بر گردنم می‌آویزم و همواره روی قلبم است و به من آرامش می‌دهد.

His father made the movie Platoon.I kinda always like that movie.This is a positive thing in my opinion.

He is not considered a "Jew" by the Jewish community unless his mother were a Jew. I guess in the past, they had a hard time identifying who the fathers were in the Jewish tribes.

We have our own directors, actors and artists who step away from Islam day after day because the glamor of West has blinded them which is a shame! and then we free thinking individuals from other places like Eduardo Agnelli and Shaun Stone who embrace Shia Islam and have guts to make a stand for themselves. This is why the best country/nationality to be from is the country of Islam, a nationality of ideology and not a nationality of material land.

Some years back, i read on the internet that Oliver Stone was in Iran and met Ahmadinejad as well for his latest documentary, but don't what happened?!?!?
