there is no need to spread these kind propaganda around, there is only one true fact in the whole article and that is the defensed budget of Iran is way lower than almost all its surrounding countries despite their size or population.
but just consider this fact according to Iran Navy top man the Jamaran frigate has costed 50 million Dollars, almost half the price of one F-35, then you get some perspective into the matter.
It is not who spend the most, but how it is spent.

I missed Arynana's post But he has posted similar stuff on other posts , this is not his first time.

I wonder how someone who poses the most basic questions on this site posts anything on a military budget Iran as if he understands the issues. I only translate this sort of behavior as intentional disturbance specially after the UAV incident.

As I said before, major R&D projects are the responsibility of IRGC. Most of these projects are top secret. we know for sure that MKO members operate among traditional forces as such many of these projects cannot be trusted to be given to say army for now. The army does carry out its own R&D such as Zolfaghar tanks, national helicopter and so forth but these projects carry much less needed funds and are not heavy on budgets but a project such as Shahab or Sejil are very expensive and extremely sensitive. Hence, much of IRGC's budget is allocated for such projects and thus a bigger budget is a necessity.

Any misunderstanding of "difference" between the two budgets are meant as fire bombs to divide and create internal divisions. Unfortunately I have witnessed Aryana to be the messenger of such intentions at least a handful of times.

Aryana, today's Iran does have many obvious problems, however, manufacturing lies or misunderstood notions from your end simply to create divisions will not be tolerated by me. I can see that Iran's bringing down the RQ-170 is more than a good news for Iran than you can stomach for your own sanity but be careful as to what you post here!
