The heavy transport trucks used by the Iranian military, ranging from the 1 1/4 ton to 5 ton and above class trucks, are among the most common forms of motorization used by the army for troop transport, material resupply, and heavy-equipment towing.

Unfortunately, I have a abysmally difficult time trying to organize and classify all of them. So let's see what the "IMF cloud" can do about it. In part, I think some of the difficulty I have stems from the fact that there are multiple variants of the same truck (different beds, cabs, that sort of thing).

Here's some Mercedes Benzs to start things off. Any and all corrections are encouraged because, as I mentioned, I really have no idea what I'm talking about.

1) MB 911
2) MB 1924
3) MB 2624
4) MB 2631

MB 911s? Are those the type that has no power steering? I used to lead convoys of these MBs. Most drivers hated it because it has no power steering and it breaks down a lot due to its old age. Iran still use those?

On the plus side, it's relatively easy to maintain.

This video shows "Neynava" in action. It seems it has really good off-road capabilities:

Please do.
If it's not in the 5-ton class exactly, it's certainly within the same range of heavy-transport.

I've been slowly sorting some of the pictures from SDW, which I should be uploading to this thread one of these days.

This image was taken during a visit by Gen. Pourdastan to the 30th ID garrison in Gorgan. Does anyone know what the vehicle on the left is? Also, I'm not sure what the MB to the right is. It's a 4x4, which rules out the 2624 or 2631, possibly a cab-over-engine 1924?

It is very similar to many Russian heavy trucks used during the latest parade. What is so surprising about it?

That "Shaher" 14.5 mm sniper looks impressive. Is it a indigenous design?

Possible this is old model from the AvtoKrAZ - legendary soviet heavy truck KRAZ-255 - one of the main heavy trucks of  the Soviet army and army of the former soviet republics. Serial production was from 1967 to 1989. In the Russian army also some of KrAZ-255 and vehicles on this chassis is still in service.

"Shaher"14.5 mm sniper rifle lacks a magazine.

All of above 5 ton transport trucks do not have any armor to defend Infantry personnel inside it.

Come on, we need more armor on jeeps and trucks.
