Late 80's-early 90's Honda CBX750-P police bikes. Here in the states, we knew this model as the "Nighthawk", although the police version wasn't imported to the U.S.

These must be parade bikes being operated in Gilan; I can't imagine such old motorcycles have seen everyday patrol duties all these years.

It just amazes me all the old stuff the Iranians still use. In certain ways, it reminds me of Cuba.

This missile has been introduced as "Nasr", But it isn't the same Nasr missile that we know.
Asphahbod says it is similar to Harpoon missile.
A friend belives maybe this is the same missile tha was called Zafar (not that missile that was unveiled as Zafar missile).
I think he can be right, look at the nose of missile. This is the only anti-ship missile in Iran with such nose and It can be a supersonic missile.

It looks like a mock-up

EDIT: It looks to be similar to an Exocet missile

The "pointed" head seem very similar in both.

Iran captured Exocet AM39 during the Iraq-Iran war

I've a hunch these police bikes (in Sari?) are Iranian made (likely assembled in Iran, stampings and actual manufacturing being performed in China.) But I can't say for sure. Anyone have any knowledge of Iranian motorcycles of motorcycle experience in Iran? (The last time I operated a motorcycle in Tehran was 1975.)

Vintage Chieftain MBT under its own power, in Shiraz. Really fine to see these oldies fired up.

This soldier has the best bike out of all of 'em, in Birjand of all places. Hard to tell, but appears to be a later type Yamaha YZ250. He's even equipped with  current type motocross helmet and boots. (Y'know, I don't think I've seen a guy actually ride through a hoop of fire, here in the States)

Ayyash whats your opinion about ERA on Samsam, Are they new?
It's not new as of this year, but it was first shown last year during army day. In fact, you took a picture of it! :)

One thing I did notice though was that the ERA on the glacis is mounted on RHA(?) plates attached the glacis which should actually provide improved protection beyond the ERA alone.

Based on an extremely limited knowledge of the science behind ERA, I'd wager that the reason why Iran is developing these extra-thick ERA arrays to defeat APFSDSs by using the metal sheets (aka flyer plates) embedded in the explosive to shear the penetrator when it impacts the brick. Logically, the thicker the brick is, the more space can be positioned between the flyer plates, and in turn, the more penetrator can be sheared off. That's just a wild guess though.

The lack of any long-range modern air defense system prototype or even mock-up suggests the project is still a while away from being operational.

I still believe the first operational "S-300" like Iranian system won't be fielded till 2015. Based on comments of "progress" with the system made by Iran today during Army day a prototype can be expected by the end of this year or early next year. Again this is just speculation.

It seems like this is an actual operational Z3

Where as this Z3 is the one we are used to seeing in parades and is probably a prototype/test bed.

I would assume so. It is not an air defense, it is simply an armored vehicle that launches unguided rockets.

There are, if you look at Ayyash's blog piece on the Z3 you can see pictures of some.

The "plain" Z3 picture you saw in my post is just a prototype/basic model without any upgrades or actual operational equipment attached I would assume. While the other one looks to be an operational model.

what is that fath cruise missile? any info?
it is probably another variant if the Iranian made c-802.

It looks similar to the C-802

^^^What does it say on the launcher it says "______ missile" "suxxxxx missile"? Too hard to read

However, the fins on Fath appear much bigger than the fins on an C-802. Could this be the Qader missile which is basically a bigger Noor?

Surface to surface missile...?

It might actually say "Land surface missile" or just "surface missile"

Immortal:

I think the fath missile is the actual zafar.
you know the one that was suppose to be that fastest in the world.

also the other cruise missile is probably an Iranian version of exocet. that could also be the actual zafar.

why do they not test them or say info about them? could it be they are still working on them?

It probably says the same thing as it does on the missile.

which is surface to sea missile.
