No, it is not Musudan. It is Shahab 3B/Ghadr-1/110.

This is Musudan:

IS THIS THE KOREAN MUSUDAN?

Figures Iran holds a major military parade on the day I have to spend all day driving. Anyways, observations:

This really the first time we've seen the AT-4/5 deployed in a non-mechanized role (i.e. mounted on BMP-2s). There was a video floating around showing a team setting up and firing one, but they're wearing tankers overalls so one could assume that the BMP-2 was nearby in this instance.

More UN troops with blue berets?

The ongoing process of standardising desert-safariflage pattern within the Artesh appears to be continuing.

I thought the 122 mm rocket launcher mounted on the back of a Land Cruiser was possibly a one-off defence project but it seems to be in use in IRGC mechanized/armoured units along with Boraghs. The photos from Mehr news of the Kerman shows the composition of the local armored unit, T-72s, T-55s, Boragh-APC, Boragh mortar carrier, boragh air-defence, M113 as well as the M577

Rather interesting new HSPB from the IRGC with 12.7 mm machine guns mounted in both the bow and stern.

No Zulfiqar :(

No, it's a Shahab. Sejjil has bumps on its body where stages separate, and both Shahab and Sejjil share the same warhead shape:

I don't see any bumps here:

In a rough scaling from the photos, it seems Sejil is longer than Shahab III !

Catsoo,

Not sure why that surprises you, I was always under the impression the Sejil was longer, most estimate it to be roughly 18 meters long compared to the 15-17 of the Shahab 3 (depending on variant).

ban ki moon,

Guess I don't understand what exactly your asking about. In that image we seen a Noor or a Qadr (only visible difference between the two is a slight length difference), a Nasr (C-704) and a Kosar missiles respectively. Nothing unusual in the image I can see.

I meant the biggest of all I thought its a Qader and the one just next to it is a Noor, but if its a Nasr it seems logical.

Don't Nasr's wings look bigger than before? Their width is twice the diameter of the missile itself (Or it seems so).

As far as I know Iran has been one of the main Volvo truck manufacturers for decades:

Mamdali

Right, but these appear to be imported mid-00's Volvo FH12-420 truck tractor heads. I think they may have been imported before the latest U.S. sanction pressures against EU manufacturers. Then again, maybe Volvo has resisted such pressure. I honestly don't know. But this is the first time I've seen these trucks applied to Iranian military service. They're spiffy.

No thoughts on the identity of those ethnic Basij pics I inquired about? Anybody?

My nephew is pretty handy with those. For a little guy, he did well at USMC bootcamp a few years ago.  Even made squad leader.

??. Did you read the link?  It's current and expliclty refers to 2006 models ('mid-00's) as well.  Not sure what you're missing.

(Note:  I hope I'm being redundant by saying that given the state of misinformation and factless and unsupported content that is rife on the 'internet' today, naturally, I cannot endorse, believe, support, or accept any of links posted by me or others.  I personally find them interesting, however, as they open new perspectives for me.  I leave it to the reader to glean what they can or want from them).

I like to imagine the Iranian military models their training off of horrible '80s TV-programs instead  ;)

I'm really surprised how long ago this was.  1989-1996 to be exact. It literally seems like yesterday-although there is a 2008 remake.
