unfortunately, it would take a really long time for us to re-find the pictures, videos, and information about Iranian military that we had on the original IMF.

Well IDF has a lot of pictures. It will be a pain to add them one by one, but if you are a member there, you can put them all up easily by quoting the posts with the pictures and copying the code. I am banned there so i cannot do this.

I never registered on IDF, but I think we should try to look for the IMF backup, and post new pictures/information. If we cannot get IMF backup, I'll try to repost the good picturess and videos.

After IMF 1 crashed i realized i wouldn't be able to ever access any of the images on here that weren't elsewhere (IDF, MP.net etc) so i started going around and saving all the images to my hard drive, i've amassed quite a bit of them (4,333 pics) so i'll try to spearhead the move to repopulate the forum in the style of my two recent threads in the Navy subsection.

I have a question regarding the Takavar

For some time i've assumed that the Takavar were part of the navy, what with being naval commandos and whatnot, much like the marines. But recently it was pointed out to me that the Takavar, aka, the 23rd special brigade is part of the regular army and is based out Tehran. This begs the question, have we ever seen a picture of the Takavar, because all the pictures we usually attribute to the Takavar are naval commandos like this one:

Takavar just means commando
There are navy commandos (takavarane daryaei) as well as army commandos

Brother what do you mean, THE takavar?
Takavar is singular. THE takavar could not be the 23rd, because that is a division and consists of thousands of men.

The 23rd is not the only commando unit in IRI Armed Forces if that is what you are asking

Ya, i am talking about the 23rd. I emphasized "the" because whenever people on other photos post photos or talk about the 23rd they use the term 'takavar' so in the popular consciousness the two words become synonomous, and whenever they talk about "the" takavar they always post pictures of the same unit (which are naval marines)

so i guess what i'm asking, i'll admit its confusing, but its late at night, is do we have any pictures of the 23rd commandos.

23rd isn't special force anymore, they are simple soldiers. 65th is special force:
