SBS, like the British one? Special boat service?
I was wondering what that meant, that seems likely since the IIN and the by legacy, the IRIN was heavily influenced by the British.

In the dictatorship era, our government used to be great allies with the Zionist entity. Iran bought them back then. These days we produce them ourselves.

Will Iran's paramilitary continue to grow and get bigger and stronger?? Seems likely.
The rest of Kurdistan will not be Iranian, it will be part of Turkey and Syria.

Separatist and Pan Kurd nationalists die in hell!

so check this out...

I was on google earth and found the Isfahan army garrison, and we can see all their equipment

I saw 73 pieces of towed artillery as well as numerous trucks and APCs, as well as a few self-propelled MLRS launchers.

IRGC airborne/SF based out of Tehran.

You can see in other pictures like these below the distinctive gray airborne patch seen on other airborne units. Plus they were at a demonstration where they base-jumped off the Milad tower.

What i want to know is whether this gray patch we've been talking about for awhile is a specific unit or rather a generic airborne patch.

They also have the same sky-blue patch on the right arm as the 55th in Shiraz does.

I thought there is two Artesh (IRIGF) artillery brigades in the area of Esfahan.. can you post some geo coordinates so I can look on google earth...

little off target, but related (artillery) I've seen what looks to be M109 Self Propelled Howitzers, cranes, and ammo carriers in the southeast of Dezful Airfield (322430n 0482350e)...  looks to be a 155mm Self Propelled Howitzer Battalion ...  92d Armor Division area based on Order of Battle posted on this forum...  what do you guys think?
12 x M109 SP Howitzers?  Historical google image shows tanks in the area, I think... T-72 tanks?? again what do you guys think?

Hello simple bubba..

In the iranian army the word for the great artillery units is "group" (gorouh) ...No "brigade".

Near Ispahan there are 44 and 55 artillery group.

Bonne soirée

Yes, those M109's would belong to the 92nd division
Here's likely a picture of one of them (might not be, but i think it is)

Here are the coordinates for the supply yard:   32°36'43.16"N 51°38'4.23"E

If you, or anyone else, have any other coordinates for equipment like this on google earth, we should post them because they are invaluable for judging distribution of equipment.

Oliver
What is the size of a "group" is it comparable to a battalion?
Also, do you know anything else about the Isfahan army contingent, it looks like they have a mechanized infantry brigade/battalion/other as well. There is also an IRGC armored contingent there as well as a commando/SF(or whatever word you might use to describe it) unit.

Does it have a specific Persian name or is it just 55th airborne?

This was well over 10 years ago but he also got to skydive with them, as a relative held some sort of position there.
