Iran has launched 21 domestically-manufactured electronic, optical and telecommunication systems along with products and research projects in line with the country’s efforts to beef up its defense capabilities.

Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi told reporters on Monday that nine production lines have been inaugurated, which include those for advanced laser-guided systems of a cannon type, guiding systems of an anti-armor missile, a warning apparatus of a laser defense system meant to protect sensitive and important areas in the country, three advanced radars and a powerful microwave lamp.

He added that eight other products including thermal cameras, laser systems, air-defense, and electronic communications for submarines were delivered to Iran's Armed Forces.

Vahidi also noted that four research projects in the field of electronic warfare have been completed, which will enter the phase of industrial production in the near future.

The defense minister reiterated that the achievements would considerably increase Iran's defense powers.

Iran has taken significant leaps in the defense sector over the recent years and gained self-sufficiency in essential military hardware and defense systems.

Iran has repeatedly assured other nations, especially regional neighbors, that its military might poses no threat to other countries, insisting that its defense doctrine is merely based on deterrence.

That's a great idea. I think it's a hanging balloon sensors, which transmit the signals to ground stations.

It seems first video that was released this morning has been an archive video not a new report of today inauguration ceremony.(its my guess)

Unlike the old Matla-ol-Fajr radars that we had seen images of it, It seems the Matla-ol-Fajr radar that was unveiled today is a 3D radar.

Iran has many mountains and should use all of them for strategic passive defense.
Our enemies have many nuclear bombs, Iran should be prepared for the worst case scenario.

Most people do not know that a relative big mountain can withstand a nuclear strike.

It is good to see that Iran at minimum is preparing against conventional bombings. I hope the bunker is deep enough to withstand bunker busting bombs as well.  These engineers should be protected as well as our nuclear facilities.

Their contributions to Iran's safety is priceless.

Yeah, funny..They think the whole world revolves or must revolve around them..The West abandoned "God & religion"  since it was causing so much infighting among themselves and adopted Science as their new "God"..Science brought them power and influence but they used that to subjugate and oppress "non-Europeans".. Now, many countries are catching up in the scientific field and that scares them..It makes them unimportant in the international scene..Today, countries like China, invests more in R & D than most Western countries..Iran's not there yet, but has made great strides in the Science and Technology field..In the 21st century, one cannot deny/hide knowledge from another..It's impossible..The West's goal and strategy against Iran is to make Iran Intellectually bankrupt so that Iran depends on them for almost everything - much like the Arabs states are...Their efforts are futile and won't succeed in the long term

Possibly a reference to this article you posted last year? The addition of those waveguides in addition to those yagi antenna would point to that being the case.

Edit:In 0:39 an unknown UAV can be seen.

It resembles the Pahbad in many ways but I can't tell whether that's it in the video.

These aren't seen in above video:

Correct me if I have you confused with someone else, but this looks a lot like the antenna (possibly ESM) you pointed out on the Alvand or Jamaran as being recently added. It was located above the bridge if I'm not mistaken.

It sounds like they're describing a microwave radio. They're equipped on a number of air-defense vehicles so different batteries and sections can network together. I would also assume that other forces would use them for communication but air-defense and/or coastal-defense would probably demand them the most. Microwave communications on a much larger scale was actually a key component in Imperial Iran's power-projection into the Persian Gulf and a number of sites were installed along the coast.

IEI has indicated to two medium range VHF radars on its website too: a 2D radar and a 3D radar. I think that's related to 2D and 3D versions of Matla-ol-Fajr.

Yes, they added recently it on bridge of Jamaran. Recently I was checking satellite images, I noticed, Sabalan equiped with it too. if You see Sabalan frigate in Bandar-e-Abbas, you can identify that white antenna-like device on bridge of Sabalan too.

Ayyash, Pahpad is the generic word for UAV. I don't think it one is named Pahpad though.

I'm curious to know what's the two other radars. Hope to one of them is Najm-802 phased array radar.

Both Najm-802 phased array radar and Matla-ol-Fajr radar introduced as top researches of Khwarizmi International Award this year.

I don't think we've ever actually learned the name of the UAV that was unveiled during the IRGC Great Prophet wargames (the one with tricycle landing gear and is similar to the South African Seeker drone) , we've just been calling it the Pahpad ever since as a placeholder for it's real name.

The Matla-ol-Fajr radar that has been introduced as top research in Khwarizmi International Award has been "Matla-ol-Fajir-2" , this shows there are at least two generations of this radar (we have seen three type till now, 2D 16 antennas, 2D 32 antennas and this 3D 16 antennas)
