"My Lord, grant me success in struggling during failure, in having patience in disappointment, in going alone, in Jihad without weapons, in working without pay, in making sacrifice in silence, in having religious belief in the world, in having ideology without popular traditions, in having faith without pretensions, non-conformity without immaturity, beauty without physical appearance, loneliness in the crowd, and loving without the beloved knowing about it. My Lord, You teach me how to live; I shall learn how to die."

Ruhollah, have you considered wiki'ing this?

Good topic. Some points:

The rifle is now called Sama and not Khaybar.
Tondar is also the name of 10 missile boats obtained from China.
Qiam is a Shahab 1&2 upgrade
Qadr-1 is a shahab 3 upgrade
Bavar-1 is a FAC also
Qaem is also a SAM launched from Toophan ATGM launchers.
Zolfighar is also a FAC.

Salam,

@ Aspahbod

I don't rely on Google. I used a transliterater though because it's awfully slow for me to type in Persian. This is probably why there are some mistakes in the placements. I finished it very hurriedly so there haven't been any corrections done by me yet.

The translations aren't mine. I have found them from other places. The point was to first get them all down. Later they could be edited or modified.

I'll edit the posts to make up for the corrections needed.

@ Shirazi

Edits have been made.

Minor errors, such as Commander of the Air Force. But a useful post, nonetheless. Thanks.

Minor errors, such as Commander of the Air Force. But a useful post, nonetheless. Thanks.

The above dwells on two issues. Firstly, the Iranian press/ media often uses the general terminology of "Commander" instead of "General," whereas in more official journals and in military literature the term latter is used. The measure may be well-intended as it negates offering a more defined/ accurate military rank for the person being addressed.

Secondly, the Farsi term which it translates from is Arteshbod which lacks an exact matching English translation designate. If the entirety of it's meaning was better input into the translation, it would more properly be "Commanding General of the Air Force." The term "General" is purposely used in English circles because it better relates to the other General-rank type breakdowns within the Iranian ranking system, namely Arteshbod (1st General or Commanding General, or Chief Commandant General), Sepahbod (2nd General or simply General rank, basic), Sarlashkar (3rd General, or Lieutenant General), and Sartip (4th General or Brigadier General).

I hope this helps.

Great effort brother.

In addition, i was thinking if we can also include, uniform insignia's along with the ranks.  I believe brother Pasdar once made such a page on Wiki before something happened to it.

I wonder he still has the pics (jpg, gifs)?? to put it here.
