Finally, as I said in a previous post, to hit moving targets one must have an array of satellites and UAVs/drones over the target area.  In addition, one must have a secure communication network to transfer this data instantly.

As you said, deception is a common tool in military strategy. But if one needs live target acquisition data then the Iranian commander is not so far off the truth at least for targets in Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman.My reasoning is simple, Iran's speed boats! In a theater where you can have hundreds of small boats near shore, it must be possible to setup a local GPS on the shoreline (as Iran has already publicized it) and tune the GPS on target acquisition fast boats to relay instantaneous data of a US ship's precise location to the missile of a relay station! (There are thousands of small commercial boats that zig-zag the area daily, they could easily be used for target acquisition missions too under cover) A secure data transmission is not my strong point to talk about but for what we have sen coming out of Iran in communication products in coding and decoding technologies, is it really beyond Iran's capabilities? This is more conceivable after RQ-170 capture, not to mention Chinese and Russian technologies that unlike big and visible hardware are technologies easily transferred to Iran!

The commander's statements may have been exaggerated but not perhaps by information he supplied rather by "details"!

تکذیب مهندسی معکوس اس300 در ایران
وزیر دفاع و پشتیبانی نیروهای مسلح گفت: خط جدیدی از موشک های ضدزره را در آینده نزدیک افتتاح خواهیم کرد که در نوع خود دستاورد مهمی است.
به گزارش مشرق، سردار احمد وحیدی در حاشیه جلسه هیئت دولت در جمع خبرنگاران درباره آخرین دستاوردهای دفاعی کشور گفت: انبوه اژدرهایی که در داخل تولید کردیم و بومی شده داخل است ادامه می یابد علاوه بر ان تولید موشک هایی با دقت بالا را در برنامه خود داریم و دستاوردهای دیگری نیز در این زمینه خواهیم داشت.

وی در پاسخ به سوال خبرنگاری، مهندسی معکوس موشک های اس 300 توسط ایران را تکذیب کرد و گفت: نیازی به مهندسی معکوس نداریم و خودمان طراحی خلاقانه می کنیم.

سردار وحیدی افزود: ساخت سلاح های پدافند هوایی برد بلند در دستور کار است و سطح ما از مهندسی معکوس بالاتر است.

وزیر دفاع همچنین در پاسخ به سوال خبرنگاری درباره خبر تولید پهپاد جاسوسی که ایران به غنیمت گرفته است گفت : بنا نداریم خیلی اخبار این موضوع را منتشر کنیم اما آنچه که وظیفه ذاتی مان باشد انجام خواهیم داد.

همچنین خبرنگار دیگری درباره اجرای رزمایش مشترک میان ایران، سوریه و روسیه پرسید که وحیدی پاسخ داد: این موضوع خیلی در دستور کار نیست.

وی همچنین در پاسخ به سوال خبرنگار دیگری درباره تولید هواپیماهای مسافربری توسط وزارت دفاع گفت: ساخت هواپیماهای مسافربری در دستور کارمان بوده ، هم اکنون نیز ایران 140 یک هواپیمای مسافربری است که در داخل تولید می شود و نمونه های پیشرفته تری از آن نیز در دستور کار است.

Ahmad Vahidi says Iran to produce a missile with very high accuracy. He also denied reverse engineering S-300 by Iran and said we don't need to reverse engineer S-300 and we design creatively the  system by ourselves.  Bulidng long range airdefence system is underway and level of [our technology] is higher than reverse engineering.

so that means Iran is going to unveil more missiles.

If Iran has developed an AGM that can be launched from it's submarines while submerged, as stated above, this is very
significant.

This means that Iran's submarines can attack targets within 300 km from a covert position, including Diego Garcia, using it's Kilo submarines.
