During Parade of last summer image of an unknown small submarine was published by Jamejamonline:



This submarine is a 16 tons submarine that the project of construction of it was launched by Dr. Chamran during Iran-Iraq war, but after martyrdom of Dr. Chamran, the project was progressed slowly, finally in 1368 It could go to depth of Persian Gulf by this submarine.
Speed of this submarine is 28 knot and capacity of it is 3 crew.. It had four engines and could to go to 100 m depth under the sea. It was built by Steel.
It was built to conduct strike and reconnaissance missions.

Yes, as someone who studies Iran you should read up on him. He was very influential and is considered to be a national hero.

He is Iran's che. I have not read anything about him, maybe we need a dedicated Shahid Chamran thread with inputs from members who have read about him.

Quite a list of accomplishments, such an admirable man!

What a great man!! A genius of our times!

As I know Shahid Chamran created "Amal Movement".  For the first time, Imam Musa Sadr wanted from Mustafa Chamran to go to Lebanon.

thats right ... he and Imam Sadr started the Shia awakening in Lebanon. Chamran built and organized the military wing of the Amal Movement. They also trained many of the followers of Imam Khomeini in Lebanon.
