Ich,

I just learned that there are ten parts to these series all located at the same link. The whole series is IRIN involvement with sea pirates off of Yemen/Sumalia.

Official: Iran No. 1 World Country in High-Speed Boats
TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Iranian defense ministry official stressed that Iran is the number one world country in high-speed boats production and developing its related capabilities.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the final round of smart vessels competition here in Tehran on Wednesday, Director of the Maritime Industries Organization of the Iranian Defense Ministry Mostafa Esbati announced that Iran attaches much importance to its vessels' capability since it is the pioneering world countries in producing and using speed boats.

"High-speed boats in foreign countries are only seen as racing vessels, but for us it goes back to the (Iraqi) imposed war (on Iran in 1980s) and the use of these boats by the Navy," Esbati stated, adding that the defense ministry believes that supporting research in this area is a grave responsibility on its shoulders.

In March 2011, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi said that speed boats, specially the newly mass-produced missile-launching vessels, have granted high mobility and power to the IRGC Navy and made it a unique force in the world.

"As regards high-speed missile-launching vessels, no country in the world enjoys such a power (that Iran has)," Fadavi said, addressing a ceremony held to mark inauguration of the production lines of two types of new speed vessels.

"We emphasize that we have gained a unique power in this field of naval defense," Fadavi went on saying.

Admiral Fadavi further compared the high speed of the Iranian vessels and the IRGC Navy's high mobility with the US Navy, and said, "US warships currently have a maximum speed of 31 knots while the Iranian vessels can traverse twice as fast on average."

You can't let other people tell you who you are...it's something you have to decide for yourself.

It looks like, that the main gun ( the 76mm canon) of naghdi had been changed with another one. here is an older photo of naghdi with some kind of elektro optical device on top of the 76mm.

And i think i know were this canon is now, its fitted on Kharg ( IRIS 431 )
