“We refused to meet with them,” said Mr. Tayfour, one of nine members of the Syrian National Council's executive committee, which is leading opposition to the Assad regime. “We told them [through a Turkish mediator] that Iran has been taking sides against the Syrian people.

“When Iran takes the side of the Syrian people, then we are willing to meet with the envoys and talk with them,” he said at the council’s office in Istanbul. “Otherwise, there is no way we can meet with the Iranians when they are assisting in the killing of our people.”

and Iran can't side with NATO/zionist backed opposition against the only arab country that supported Iran during the Iran-Iraq war.

I wonder why they ignored a deal that could've helped end the fighting and bloodshed that they're denouncing

I think if this is true then the MB should have engaged with Iran and then judge however it Looks like the opposition didn't give them the chance either the other opposition members are made of insincere figure who are willing to sell their country

Lol@double edged swords, literally.

Why not just come out of the closet, declare takfir on Shiites and make clear it's the only reason you hate Assad to begin with. This has nothing to do with Assad, elections or freedom. It has everything to do with Salafists who believe they can hijack the Sunni community and making it seem as if Syria belongs to Sunnis and the rest should obey them. Shooting kids, kidnapping small girls, anything they can to get ignorant people on board.

Keep dreaming, Iran should've done Syria Saudi-Bahrain style long ago.

Why are you mixing Shias(mainstream) with allawites. This.is the trick salafist play to confuse people. They use allawite as examples and then label all Shias for it. Allawites are considered apostate cult like Baha'i by mainstream Shia and Sunnis

i guess they want war. assad can fight it out but i'm sure he would prefer a power-sharing agreement. i'm sure the zionists and the saudis would love for the fighting and instability to continue, and perhaps even erdogan

apparantly from leaked news davituglu offered the very same deal to assad back in march but was rejected by the latter because was considered a threat to the secular nature of syria.  The idea was left cold for too long and now it messed up big time that it will be difficult to bring about a deal although its never too late.

These idiots are really playing with fire...If war ever breaks out, Hezbollah will be forced to take over Beirut for good and pound the Saudi/Qatari/Hariri backed Salafi elements. Syria will have no choice but to pound Jordan and Israel in return..We're talking about a massive bloodbath that will change the landscape - literally..
