Im sure you know that Quran was revalated before any of the Imams, and Veleyat Faghih is a concept of continuation of the Velayat of Imams during the time of the major occultation of the last Imam. So if you really want to dig in to this (and not just want to prove somebody wrong), the more fundamental question for you to ask is this: Is the Velayat of the Imams mentioned in the Quran? the answer is yes but of course not directly. this scholar answers the later question best:

Thank you brothers; actually it is because i want to prove someone wrong. They claim that this whole concept of velyat faghih was brought by Imam Khomeini and i told them it's in the quaran. So i thought if i ask here, i would get a clear answer.
