Interestingly, he is admitting that umer changed the method of prayers. In sahih bukhari umer admits what a pleasant change he introduced (in the form of taraveh.) so the Taraveeh prayers methods followed today by muslims are not the one introduced by Holy Prophet (pbuh) and hence is not sunnah. infact it is a proof that most muslims are pursuing the sunnah of umer and not the sunnah of Holy Prophet (pbuh).

not true. he not admitting anything about umer. what his underlying message is that the salah of taravi has no significance in islam and it was only non mandatory prayers that were chopped up and mixed with other terms in islam and there was born taravi. he also gives his point of view on taravi in the end. he says that people should first focus on things that are essential in an islamic way of living rather then any thing fancy or non mandatory stuff should be less prioritized then the mandatory stuff (trying to put essence back into one's belief)
