The post is very derogatory but is expected from western sources regarding any failure of Iran's space program
I hope this helps  :D

Well, at least Iran was tried, and not so many countries reached that feat.

On a side note, This implies that Dr. Fazeli was not exactly telling the truth all the time. First he added an extra month to Rasad's mission length, and now this one. Not good for your reputation, dokktor!

Dr. Fazeli is not worth much, I think the defence minister is the real power holder for the space program.

I think it is very interesting that they mentioned that the system failed! If I am right this is the first in this field and other military fields, which shows it has low level of secrecy. I think this is another proof that Iran's space program does have civil objective rather than all military agenda.

I hope this is the start of an era with more open program with much more publicly available information.

Is it possible to have a separate thread so that people who want to hurl childish insults at each other can do it there?   Then sensible adults can continue posting interesting information on threads like this .......

I think there is no question regarding the civilian nature of the program since developing ICBM technology is a lot less costly and a lot less challenging than a man spaced program. Don't get me wrong iran will or already has obtained ICBM technology using this civilian program, but as china and India have shown to put a man in space is a lot more challenging. And china had a lot of backing from Russia they even used a Russian space suit and not their own during the manned space walk. I think Iran knows that if it can reach manned space mission all other military benefits will also be gained...but one of the main objectives is civilian

Dear Chacko i dont agree with you but i may be wrong also but this is why i dont qgree with your earlier statement
Dr. fazeli heads the program and is a scientist that controls the many aspects of this specific project...like many other scientist that head other projects...he is a man with intricate scientific knowledge of the program vs a military man that is a liaison for the military and not a scientist. So when Fazeli says he is not sure...is because he is not sure how long it will take to solve the problem....who do you think tells the defense ministry about the likely time table of the project...so he cannot be useless or stupid in my opinion  :D
