thanks the8march, interesting Image. It reminded me to Sejil missile, like Sejil actuator boxes of jet vanes have been installed on outer surface of body of missile that i think it is due to large diameter of nozzle of engine compared to diameter of body unlike Shahab-3/Ghadr missile:

By considering the jet vanes of Unha-3 is it possible to conclude first stage just uses one engine and one nozzle? or I'm wrong. because I think the jet vanes should be located around the nozzles so If four jet vanes have been located around outer diameter of body of Unha-3 so it means has just one nozzle and engine.
Is my assumption true or I'm wrong and even in rockets with multiple nozzles, the jet vanes are lcoated and installed just on outer diameter of body too?

I dont think that using only 4 vanes means that the missile has a single engine... every vane could control one engine from the 4 to steer the missile..

But this is just an opinion

I think youre right, using four vane for each nozzle increases cost and makes control of them more complicated.

Would be also interesting to find out if the actuator boxes have the same size... The boxes look much pretty similar..

This missile is massive...compare it to the russian ones which have much bigger range and are much smaller.

I hate to be in the place of the program managers and engineers responsible for the launch considering the very intense public coverage and the possibility of failure. Frankly I'm surprised they have proceeded with this publicly considering the reported failures of theiur recent attempted launches of simpler rockets. This does give some credence to the erratic nature of their space program that is reported by the media. But I can't say for sure.

Regardless, I wish them well.
