My old ones broke... any advice on good (durable) ones that don't cost a fortune and look good?

Depends on what style your looking for. Check out sennheiser, they have a 'adidas product' range designed for sport. Don't think the entry level ones will be that expensive.

I love these:

http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=headphones&hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=1379484248933708601&sa=X&ei=eoZbT4KkN8f30gHin9nMDw&ved=0CI0BEOUNMAA#

They break every 6-7 months but first I'm getting better at handling them and second I have a $10 free replacement plan through best buy.
(Note:  I hope I'm being redundant by saying that given the state of misinformation and factless and unsupported content that is rife on the 'internet' today, naturally, I cannot endorse, believe, support, or accept any of links posted by me or others.  I personally find them interesting, however, as they open new perspectives for me.  I leave it to the reader to glean what they can or want from them).

IRGC,

...the cheaper models have received bad reviews though.

Mamdali,

Don't they fall off? I've never really been comfortable with earbuds while running...

Have you tried these, or anything similar?

Sony MDR-AS40EX In-ear

The earbuds DON'T fall off.  They are rubber and secure firmly inside the ear canal.  I have the same concerns about how secure they are during traininf and these work really well.  I've never had a problem.

EDIT:  The ones I'm referring to are ear 'plugs' not ear 'buds'.  They go INTO the ear.

Porta pro is really good. But I can not use them cuz of my dumbo ears :D
For me only in ear works... I have to use the biggest ear plugs on my BBD..

Like this ones, they are big as hell, make one be ashamed of his ears :D

Philips has designed quite an affordable model dedicated to runner.
Hama (former Thomson) are the cheapest.

However the standard Koss headphones are a great value for the buck. I've been using those for a while and they do quite a great job given the fact that I give them a hard time
