I posted a short note regarding my seven and half years war experience and how I got shot down and lost my legs, and my dear friend who was my weapon officer when I became a member of IMF. I also posted how we, a few Cobra pilots stopped the whole Iraqi tank division in Sare pole Zahab. We killed over 80 of their tanks within a 3 days period. They were on their way to Kermanshah, but they never got the chance to reach Kermanshah. I am even in a couple of videos posted here in IMF, but I was only one of the millions who fought the war, and to me, it wasn't right to talk about myself when there were millions of stories about our other brothers and sisters' bravery during the war.
Jonk89,
Though I knew you were a Cobra pilot but how I missed your posts you mentioned here. You and other veterans who have visited here are exceptionally humble, a trait that makes all Iranian veterans apart from the rest of war veterans in he world.
Your stories (and others) must be told for documentation for past, current and future generations of Iranians. In old IMF we had created a single threat for Yahya our veteran tank commander to capture his memories. I regret the site went down and we never recovered those very precious memories. This time we have a far secure system.
I hope you share some of your memories here with us at IMF.
Regards,
Catsoo
