I posted a short note  regarding my seven and half years war experience and how I got shot down and lost my legs, and my dear friend who was my weapon officer when I became a member of IMF. I also posted how we, a few Cobra pilots stopped the whole Iraqi tank division in Sare pole Zahab. We killed over 80 of their tanks within a 3 days period. They were on their way to Kermanshah, but they never got the chance to reach Kermanshah. I am even in a couple of videos posted here in IMF, but I was only one of the millions who fought the war, and to me, it wasn't right to talk about myself when there were millions of stories about our other brothers and sisters' bravery during the war.

Jonk89,

Though I knew you were a Cobra pilot but how I missed your posts you mentioned here. You and other veterans who have visited here are exceptionally humble, a trait that makes all Iranian veterans apart from the rest of war veterans in he world.

Your stories (and others) must be told for documentation for past, current and future generations of Iranians. In old IMF we had created a single threat for Yahya our veteran tank commander to capture his memories. I regret the site went down and we never recovered those very precious memories. This time we have a far secure system.

I hope you share some of your memories here with us at IMF.

Regards,

Catsoo

No, Shahid keshvari was the commanding officer of Hava nirooz in Ilam, and I was stationed in Kermanshah and later during the war I was sent to Khoozestan. I knew both shahid Keshavari and shiroodi. I was a young pilot, sotvan sevom, when war started while shahid keshvari was sarvan (capitan), There were many instances that hava nirooz pilots killed many Iraqi tanks within a few days. Even more than 90-100 tanks within a week. No one should be compared to shahid Keshvari. He was one of the bravest and smartest pilots I have ever had a chance to meet. We lost a great man, an officer and a pilot. It is going to take  a long time to see another man like shahid keshvari.

Wow... Really respect you man, never met anybody like that... what do you think of the new Iranian Cobras?
"Now Rustem, when he felt the water beneath him, forthwith drew out his sword and combated the crocodiles with his right hand, and with his left he swam towards the shore. And long did he struggle and sore, but when the night was fallen he put his foot upon the dry land."
