Forum Rules (please read)

Iran Military Forum Rules can easily be summed up with this statement:

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this Forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violate of any law.
The aim of this forum is to encourage debate and discussion about Iran’s Military, Iran in general and any world event/news. It is a broad topic, and open discussion is welcomed (Any “Thread, Comments and Postings”).

This Forum is monitored by The IMF Team in accordance with the rules below (“Forum Rules”).

Forum Rules

• While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
• Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such.
• Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
• Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum, private message systems and the chat room to spam other members.
• We also do not allow posts, avatars or links to sites that are sexual in nature or violate IMF community standards. The IMF team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.
• Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.
• Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.
• We reserve the right to remove offensive posts or avatars without notice.
• Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
• You cannot post advertisements or notices for contests.
• All Articles published or any references to any site or news media must have an accompanying "LIVE" link to it.

Courtesy requests

• While healthy debate is encouraged please realized that this is a forum and a gathering of majority Iranians and there by some topics like (Zionism, MKO, Al Qaeda, Wrong name for Persian Gulf, Taliban) deem very sensitive and could create emotions and reactions against the above mentioned groups therefore if your intention is to start a flame and/or of baiting nature then be warned.
• Include warnings before posting graphic images, or videos.
• DO NOT POST ALL CAPS (see how annoying it is).

If the IMF Community Team feels you have overstepped your mark and broken the rules it will use its sole discretion to:

• Lock the offensive Thread, Comment or Posting;
• Send a warning explaining how you have broken these Forums Rules;
• Reserve the right to ban the user for a period of time or permanently.

If you notice anyone breaking any of these rules, report them to the IMF team by clicking on the, "Report to moderator" link below each post.

Media Gallery Rules

Every registered member of this forum can upload photos and videos to the gallery, however there are a few rules you should take into consideration before uploading anything:

• Upload your photos or videos to the right album. Look at the title of the album and you should be able to decide where to upload your photos to. Not knowing the difference between Sepah and Artesh is understandable, but don't go around uploading (for example) air force images in the army album.
• Do not upload photos or videos of subjects or things that do not belong in the gallery. For example: military images of other countries, non-military images or inappropriate (e.g. nudity) images whether military or non-military related.
• Graphical representations of any kind that are similar to the following example are not acceptable. However graphical representations that look professionally made like the following example, are acceptable.
• Any photographs that are uploaded must be of at least the following dimensions: 500px × 350px (horizontal photos), 350px × 500px (vertical photos). This fits the standard of all images as can be found on sites like Farsnews, Mehrnews, etc. Exceptions for smaller images only for photographs of rare events/objects. There is no maximum resolution to consider. In fact the higher the resolution, the better.
• Only upload good quality images. Screen captures of videos are not good enough, unless made from DVD or HD videos (unlikely). Exceptions for low quality images only for rare events/objects.
• Do not directly upload videos to the media gallery. Instead when selecting the upload feature, add a link to the video (from youtube for example). The gallery will automatically embed it.
