BTW I'm not suggesting that IMF should be open house to trolls, etc. of any kind, it'd quickly get inundated by the likes of that, as it turns out, Dutch nerd who won't stay away (seems he's resorted to bragging about being the sick shit he is, in his latest post today).
I don't know much about computers and the internet, beyond what I need to know to operate and secure my own machine and system, so I wouldn't know what to do to run a small site, let alone a large operation like Huff Post, which has hundreds of 'moderators' and maybe hundreds of IT professionals employed ... and ****.*** on whatever smaller scale, much smaller, with maybe 50-odd comments coming in in popular and/or controversial threads. Ive seen them go beyond 3000 on just one topic, in just one of at least a dozen categories of topics running simultaneously in HP.
Interestingly my impression is that the ratio of worthwhile comments to garbage is probably about the same, maybe 1:10. I just sieve through for ones. The rest don't threaten the site, nor the topic, nor me. I really can't see what the problem is - why ****.*** should be hated. It's like throwing out both baby and bathwater?
